 Coating Maintenance

Metallic, Marble, Flake, and Polished Concrete

Daily & Weekly Maintenance • Sweep or Dust Mop Regularly – Use a soft broom or microfiber dust mop to remove dust, dirt, and debris. • Mop as Needed – Damp mop the floor with warm water and a mild pH-neutral cleaner to remove light stains and grime. • Vacuum Crevices and Corners – Use a vacuum to clean hard-to-reach areas. Deep Cleaning (Monthly or as Needed) • Use a Gentle Cleaner – Mix a solution of warm water and a non-abrasive, pH-neutral cleaner. • Mop or Scrub the Floor – Use a soft mop or an auto-scrubber with a soft brush pad for larger areas. • Rinse with Clean Water – Ensure no residue is left behind to prevent streaks. Preventative Maintenance • Place Mats and Rugs – Use rugs at entry points to reduce dirt tracking. • Use Soft Pads on Heavy Equipment & Furniture – Prevent scratches and dents. • Avoid Harsh Chemicals – Do not use citrus-based, vinegar, or acidic cleaners as they can dull the epoxy. Handling Spills and Stains • Clean Spills Immediately – Use a cloth or paper towel to prevent stains. • Oil & Grease Removal – Use a degreaser diluted with water and wipe it clean. • Rust Stains – Apply a mild scrubbing pad with a light detergent. Dealing with Damage • For Scratches or Scuffs: Buff lightly with a soft cloth or reapply a clear coat if needed. • For Chips or Cracks: Fill with an epoxy repair compound and smooth it out.

Quartz

Quartz floors are typically fairly rough for the highest slip resistance possible. This causes quartz floors to be more resistant to standard sweeping and moping. The best way to clean quartz floors is to hose them down. If a pressure washer is used, use a lower power pressure washer, such as a 1,500psi washer and/or maintain at least 1 ft between the coating and the nozzle. Never user a 0º or Turbo nozzle on a coating.

Concrete Overlays

Cleaning • Sweeping or using a leaf blower - best for removing light debris • Hose down with a regular jet stream hose attachment or a light-duty pressure washer - Best for mud and dirt. • Using strong pressure washers, or powerful pressure washing attachments can damage the overlay, proceed with caution. Winter Maintenance • Use sand rather than melting salt for snow and ice removal/prevention. This will help reduce the damage that can be caused by salt.
